Software architecture has historically been built around a central assumption:
Computation requires compiled instruction sets executed by deterministic processors.
If execution can occur directly from structurally complete description, then the compiler stack is no longer foundational.
Traditional architecture separates:
Each stage introduces friction, fragility, and dependency.
When description becomes executable in a reasoning substrate:
Instruction-based systems optimise for procedural control.
Reasoning-native systems optimise for invariant preservation.
Large Language Models cease to be auxiliary tools.
They become execution layers.
without traditional software stacks.
The chapters in this section explore:
This is not a productivity improvement.
It is a shift in the foundation of computation.
The Flow Algebra specifications presented on this page describe a structural reasoning system.
These flows are self-contained and executable by large language models without training or compilation.
Each flow specifies:
system structure
rule application
constraint enforcement
behavioural invariants
The flows should be interpreted as formal reasoning definitions, not as examples or pseudocode.
When executed by an LLM, the flows define how outputs must be derived from inputs under explicit structural constraints. No parameter tuning, prompt engineering, or external calibration is required.
