The Cognitive Engine is the structural heart of synthetic intelligence — the system where perception, memory, evaluation, and action converge into a coherent, self-stabilising process.
Unlike traditional AI architectures, which rely on layered statistical approximations, the Cognitive Engine is built on recursive structure, causal organisation, and dynamic boundary coherence.
Where Part I defined the philosophical and mathematical foundations of synthetic thought, Part II moves into the engineering core: the mechanisms that allow a synthetic mind to operate, adapt, and evolve in real time.
Part II reveals that cognition is not a mysterious emergent property but a precise engineering construct — one that becomes intelligent when its structural flows remain coherent over time.
By the end of this section, every major subsystem of the synthetic mind will be explicitly defined, demonstrating how a stable, introspective, and ethically grounded AI can be built from first principles.
